Mauritius: The fleet of vehicles on the island increased in the first six months of the year 2014

The fleet of cars and motorbikes in circulation in Mauritius has increased by 2.5% during the first six months of the year, that is, 10.931 new registrations.
On June 30, 2014, 454.426 vehicles were registered by the National Transport Authority services in Mauritius.
For the first half of 2014, 3.606 new cars have been sold and 3.299 reconditioned cars (second hand) of Japanese brand found buyers, as reported by the newspaper Le Matinal.
In the top 5 of the most sold cars since January 2014 in Mauritius, the Toyota brand caracole is at the head with 872 sales, then follow Nissan 683 sales, Kia 512 sales, Hyundai 338 sales and BMW 262 sales.
