Mauritius: The enterprise that runs the loto on the island has experienced a growth of 136% of net profit in 6 months

The enterprise which is at the management since 2009 of the national lottery in Mauritius as well as some scratch games, Lottotech, with as main shareholder the society of Construction Gamma Civic, has registered during the first six months of the year 2014 a net profit evaluated at some 113 million rupees*.
The profits earned after the taxes has experienced a progression of about 136% compared to the same calendar period of 2013.
This growth is explained by the numerous successive jackpots of the Loto which has reached during the first half of 2014 a record high of 120 million rupees, as related in the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
Good results which in the aftermath has led to an increase of 3.86% of the title at the Stock Exchange of Mauritius in late last week. The Lottotech title has thus equally jumped of 21% of its value since its introduction on the Stock Market in June 2014.
As a reminder, the lottotech has drained in its wake during the five last years of practice over 11.52 billion rupees played for more than 6.06 billion rupees of gains distributed among the winners.
*One euro roughly equivalent to 41 rupees
