Mauritius: The Reunionese Catherine Boudet, who was threatened with expulsion will temporarily leave the island on Tuesday
The Reunionese Catherine Boudet, poet, academic and journalist, who was under the threat of expulsion from the Mauritian territory since early October, found common ground with the services of Immigration of Mauritius.

The latter accused her of being in an illegal situation on the island.

Catherine Boudet should temporarily leave the Mauritius Island, Tuesday, in the direction of the Reunion to finalize her various paperwork and to tread again soon to Mauritius, with palmtop a work permit granted by the Mauritian authorities.

According to Mr. Erikson Mooneapillay his lawyer, the decision of the Immigration Service is "a victory for democracy."
However, the man of law remains on his guard and is ready to react to any new twist to this folder.

Erikson Mooneapillay thus warns vigorously that the Immigration Service have "every interest in meeting their commitments since the eyes of the French-speaking world are turned" on the case of Catherine Boudet, as related by the newspaper Dimanche L'Hebdo.

As a reminder, Catherine Boudet did not have the possession of a valid work permit in the wake of the case of spreading false news against the French historian Stéphane Sinclair where the Reunionese was bleached by the end of August Mauritian justice.

Catherine Boudet had also claimed, Wednesday, 25 September 2013, 1.25 million euros (50 million rupees) in damages for "unlawful arrest and detention" and had given notice the Mauritian government.

The Reunionese Catherine Boudet who had no passport, which amounted to an arrest in Mauritius, had seen the charges against her striped, Thursday, August 29, 2013, the Magistrate Court of Mapou which considered that the police investigation was sloppy.
