Mauritius: The Prime Minister of India deliver a speech at the National Assembly as part of the 47th anniversary celebrations of the Independence of Mauritius

The leader of the Hindu nationalist party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, will be the guest of honor of the celebrations of the 47th anniversary of the Independence of Mauritius celebrated on March 12 and also celebrating the 23 years of the Republic of Mauritius.
The program of his visit to the Mauritian soil, an encounter with all the political leaders of the country, the traditional banquet hosted by the State of Mauritius in honor of his guest of the Great Indian Peninsula and a speech to the Assembly national.
Narendra Modi will thus sign two memoranda of understanding with the Mauritian authorities on the improvement of aviation and maritime assets to Agalega (wharf construction, the runway rehabilitation, power plant installation) and a second partnership cooperation on fisheries, aquaculture, marine transport and tourism.
The Prime Minister of India will also officially inaugurate the new ship-patrol Mauritius, CGS Barracuda, built in Indian shipyards for 58.5 million dollars.
