Mauritius: The President of the Republic travels to Dakar on Thursday

The President of the Republic of Mauritius, Kailash Purryag, who will be at the head of the Mauritian delegation at the summit of the Francophonie, will arrive on Thursday in Dakar, Senegal.
"President Purryag will join on 27 November in Dakar, the members of his delegation including Dr. Rashid Beebeejaun, the Vice Prime Minister, Usha Dwarka Canabady, Secretary of Foreign Affairs", announced a statement from the presidency.
"This expanded team, including connoisseurs of the continent and the Francophonie, will have for work to support the candidature of Mauritius in the General Secretariat of the Francophonie in the person of Jean-Claude de l'Estrac," reported in the statement.
"On the road to Dakar where he will arrive on November 26 the Mauritian candidate will stop in Paris where he will have a meeting in Quai d'Orsay," it also relates.

As a reminder, the Mauritian Jean-Claude de l'Estrac is declared candidate to succeed the former Senegalese President Abdou Diouf, at the head of the OIT composed of 77 member countries.
Jean-Claude de l'Estrac will solicit for the General Secretariat and the OIF at the Francophonie Summit of Dakar in Senegal on 29 and 30 November 2014.
