Mauritius: The Minister of tourism, Michael Sik Yuen, aims the bar of the 60,000 Chinese tourists in 2014




While tourist arrivals on the island grew by 2.9% in 2013 according to figures published earlier this year by the official body of the Mauritius Statistics, with 993.106 visitors in 2013, Mauritian Minister of Tourism Michael Sik Yuen, wants to almost double for 2014 the number of Chinese tourists arriving on the island.
 
"I hope that the year of Horse will be even better than that of the Serpent... In 2013, the island welcomed 32,000 Chinese tourists. I hope that in 2014, we will have at least 60,000 ", said the Ministry of tourism of Mauritius, Michael Sik Yuen, at a luncheon with the elders of the Sino community, this weekend in Port Louis on the eve of the Chinese new year which will be celebrated January 31.
