Mauritius: The Mauritian authorities are preparing to start scanning of medical records of patients admitted to hospitals

The Mauritian authorities are preparing to launch before the end of 2014 an eHealth pilot project financed to the tune of one billion rupees * by India.
 
The pilot project will be commissioned in December on the side of Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Rose Belle in the South of Mauritius consists of scanning patient medical records and subsequently will be integrated in a database accessible only by medical personnel.
 
The diagnoses, treatments given, prescriptions erect and drugs used by the medical profession will be reported within the data record for each patient, as reported in the newspaper Le Matinal.
