Mauritius: The Lottotech reaps profits of 167 million rupees in 2014

The Lottotech company managing the National Lottery in Mauritius as well as different existing scratch games on the island since 2009  has earned a net profit in the order of 167 million rupees in 2014 *.
The turnover of the company for the financial year from last year is estimated at 2.7 billion rupees.
A recent study indicates that 72% of men over 18 and 61% of women try their luck at Lotto with an average expenditure per week of approximately 73 rupees. About 55 rupees are played weekly by players at different scratch games. And three players in five spend less than 100 rupees for the chance they finally smiled...
