Mauritius: The Lalit party disputes the official figures on homeownership and evokes a rate of 38.7%
According to the Lalit party, the number of Mauritians real estate owners would reach 38.7% of the population according to a survey conducted on the ground for two months.

Figures in complete opposition, however, with official figures showing that 88.9% of Mauritians have acceded to the property on the island.

According to Rajni Lallah, active campaigner of the Lalit party, these "inaccurate figures" lead to "bad policy" authorities of social housing in the island, as relates the newspaper Le Défi Quotidien.
