Mauritius: The European Union grants 27.5 million euros to support economic and social reforms on the island




The European Union continues its aid in support of economic and social reforms by giving 27, 5 million euro (1.1 billion rupees) to the Government of Mauritius and directly injected in public finances.
 
This assistance is part of the 88 million euros recorded in February 2013 for a period of three years within the program Promoting Sustainable and Equitable Development, Phase II *, as reported by the newspaper Le Matinal.

The 27.5 million euros correspond to the first installment of this support budget on the part of the European Union including the areas of "social action, of the sugar reform, the parastatal revitalization", explains Guy Samzun, Chargé d'affaires of the delegation of the Union European, with term for primary objective to increase the income on the island.
