Mauritius: Strong growth of Chinese tourists on the island from January to July, 2014

Chinese tourists have been 38.512 to come to Mauritius during the first seven months of the year 2014 compared to the same calendar period of last year,  Chinese travellers were valued at 21.401 visitors, representing a nearly 80% growth.
In 2013, 41.913 Chinese tourists had visited Mauritius. From January to July 2014, Mauritius hosted 572.632 tourists against 549.038 visitors in 2013 on the same reference period, as reported by Business Mag.
As a reminder, the tourist arrivals to the island of Mauritius grew by 2.9% in 2013 with 993.106 registered visitors.
The official body Statistics Mauritius still aim on an increase of tourist arrivals in 2014, with an increase of 3.7% and approximately 1.030.000 travelers who should visit Mauritius this year.
