Mauritius: Speed cameras have brought since 2010 more than 235 million rupees




Mauritian Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam announced before the parliamentarians responding to a question from an elected Parliament that functional radar since 2010 in Mauritius brought 235.286.000 rupees * to the State coffers.
 
31 speed cameras have registered 203,000 speeding and were punished with fines for non-standard drivers.
 
Navin Ramgoolam also stated that two drivers were deprived of their licenses after losing five of their capital points penalty points which entered into force on May 10, 2013, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
