Mauritius: Six dead and nine wounded in a simulated air crash in Albion

A small aircraft having departed in the morning from Tananarive in Madagascar and that should land on the tarmac at the airport of Plaisance crashed on the ground yesterday on the side of Albion in the West of the island of Mauritius.
 
An emergency scenario that was put in place as part of a simulated air crash to gauge relief devices and their reactivity in the event of a real accident on the island.
 
This air crash simulation could particularly point out the strengths and weaknesses of all the logistics deployed on the ground facing an air catastrophe.

Firefighters, police, military personnel of the Red Cross and various ministry officials took part in this nature size exercise which has been according to the crisis scenario, prepared well in advance, six dead and nine wounded, as indicated by the newspaper Le Défi Quotidien.
