Mauritius: SEMTRI stock index reached a new historic record

Index SEMTRI (Stock Exchange of Mauritius Total Return Index), created in October 2002 on the stock exchange of Mauritius, which incorporates the performance of the overall market with dividends and capital gains, reached a new historic record in closing Tuesday at 6.479,04 points.

The other stock index, the SEMDEX is calculated on all shares listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius also ended the session at 2039.45 upward points against 2033.16 point last Tuesday.
Since the beginning of 2013, the SEMTRI and SEMDEX saw respective increases of 20.78% and 17.75%.

The top ten listed companies in terms of market performance have registered since the beginning of 2013 on the Mauritian stock market gains ranging between 34.65% and 123.46%, as shown in the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
As a reminder, the exchange of Mauritius raised funds since 2010 totaling more than 30 billion rupees (750 million euros).
