Mauritius: Russian tour operators campaigning for the opening of a regular direct line to Mauritius

Some ten Russian tour operators currently traveling to Mauritius to actively advocate for the early establishment of direct flights between Russia and Mauritius, and non-stop in Paris or Dubai as it is today.
The Russian company Transaero will provide for its part from 31 October 2014 to 27 March 2015 two weekly with direct links to Mauritius from Moscow.
As a reminder, 719 Russian tourists traveled to Mauritius in September, an increase of 8.8% compared to September 2013.
However for the nine first month of the year, Russian tourist arrivals have declined by 12.7% compared to the same calendar period of last year.
9.184 Russian tourists have landed on the island between January and July against 10.521 travellers counted for the seven first months of 2013, as reported the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
