Mauritius: Reference of the Mauritius stock exchange indices continued their decline

Trading activity in Mauritius declined of its two indices of reference, SEMDEX (1) and SEMTRI (2) in a volatile market.
At the closure of the market on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, SEMDEX index reached 2063,04 points, down by 15.42 points in one week.
Meanwhile, the index SEMTRI ended the session at 6674,49 points, also declined by 18.87 points.
At the end the market capitalisation was estimated at 226,84 billion rupees (3) and stock trading totaled some 206 million rupees in a week on the official market.
On 49 titles rated, 5 registered a growth during the past week, 25 tracks have maintained their position and 19 tracks showed a decline, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.

As a reminder, the stock exchange of Mauritius, whose the SEMDEX index jumped to 21% in 2013, has raised funds since 2010 totaling over 37 billion rupees and that were used to develop the companies listed on the stock market.
