Mauritius: Pirating of bank accounts by phishing, a million rupees of prejudice
About ten customers of the Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) were victims at the end of week last of piracy from their bank account online through phishing via traps emails, asking specifically to update their username and password associated with the Internet Banking.

Hackers have thus been able to lay low hand on one million rupees (25,000 euros) by this system of phishing well prowled by redirecting clients abused to a fake banking site of the MCB.

The incriminated site was quickly excluding online by hackers, after the MCB has warned through the press on Saturday their customers of the risks these fraudulent emails trapped.
 
Customers victims of phishing have already complained to the police trying to trace the hackers responsible for this computer fraud, as indicated by the newspaper Le Défi Quotidien.
