Paul Bérenger, leader of the MMM (Mauritian Militant Movement) had the confirmation, last Wednesday, by the Institut Gustave Roussy in Paris that his last IRM results showed a complete remission of his throat cancer diagnosed at the early stage a few months ago.

The leader of the MMM and former Prime Minister of Mauritius was thus forced to leave at the beginning of the benches of the National Assembly to get treatment in a Paris hospital by chemotherapy.

Alan Ganoo had thus replaced him from the position of leader of the opposition in Parliament.

Having now recovered a state of health necessary to fully ensure its parliamentary activities, Paul Bérenger resume his position as leader of the opposition in the Assembly Chamber, and that, upon the resumption of the work of the National Assembly scheduled October 22, as indicated in the newspaper Weekend.
