Mauritius: Over 4.200 expatriated foreign citizens possess of a work resident permit on the island

 According to the latest figures published by the Board of Investment (BOI), over 14.500 foreign citizens has been granted of a resident permit by the Mauritian authorities between 2006 and at the present day.
Thus, some 4.250 foreign citizens in Mauritius beneficiated in 2014 of a work and resident permit to legally stay on the Mauritian ground via the Occupation Permit delivered for a renewable duration of three years.

On the other hand, in 2014 the island counted 132 expatriate foreign retired citizens against 128 listed a year earlier, as reported the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
