Mauritius: Over 25.950 drivers fined and under the scope of loss of points

Over 25.950 drivers have been sanctioned since the beginning of the year 2014 by the license points system with 15 points of capital.
Most of the offending drivers were thus sanctioned for speeding *, as indicated in the Le Matinal newspaper.
As a reminder, the Mauritian authorities have focused on the introduction of the license penalty point on May 10, 2013 and the proliferation of speed cameras on the island, to curb the road carnage in recent years as well as the obligation from 2014 for motorcyclists to wear a vest reflective at night.
* Speeding (less than 25 km / h) over the limit / 2 to 4 points
Speeding (more than 25 km / h) over the limit / 4-6 items
Speeding (over 50 km / h) over the limit / 6 8 points
