Mauritius: Over 1,100 conjunctivitis cases on the island recorded in about ten days

An outbreak of conjunctivitis * is underway in Mauritius. 1,144 cases were treated in hospitals between 5 and 18 January.

The Mauritian Ministry of Health invites the Mauritian population to wash their hands regularly, not rub their eyes with dirty hands and to use personal bath towels.
Contagious disease, but more often benign, conjunctivitis is treated within a few days by medical treatment.
