Mauritius: Opening of a prosthetics Centre set up by an Indian NGO soon




The Indian NGO, Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata, the largest organisation in the world that helps disabled people victims of amputation with prostheses, Jaipur Foot, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mauritian NGO Rainbow Foundation for opening of a Center in Mauritius soon.
 
This center will be the fourth of its kind after those located in Colombia, Pakistan and the Philippines and before the opening of the same structure in Afghanistan, according to the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
 
As a reminder, since its inception in 1975, the NGO Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata made available about 1.3 million of prostheses in majority in India, but also in some 20 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
