Mauritius: Next national campaign of cleaning up household waste on the island

The Ministry of the Regional Administrations of Mauritius is preparing to launch a wide campaign of cleaning up household waste, and this, so that the Mauritian public stop throwing old bulky appliances in nature.
The aim will be to collect more than 100 tons of household waste for a budget that was estimated at about 7 million rupees *.
The Ministry of the Regional Administrations will deploy with the help of the Councils of districts and municipalities this campaign to collect large scale of old refrigerators, screens TVs, washing machines discarded and which pollute the environment.
Household waste collected will be sorted and the non-recyclable items will be exported abroad, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
