Mauritius: Negotiations for the arrival of the German airline Lufthansa in Plaisance




The tourism authorities of Mauritius recently met in Frankfurt executives of the German airline, Lufthansa.
 
The Minister of Tourism of Mauritius Michael Sik Yuen, and the Director of the Office of tourism (MTPA), Karl Mootoosamy, took part in the negotiations that could focus particularly on next service from Lufthansa's international airport Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam of Plaisance, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
 
As a reminder, German travellers arriving in Mauritius recorded an increase of attendance of 2.3% between January and July 2014, with some 32.621 tourist arrivals.
 
In 2013, 60.530 German visitors visited Mauritius against 55.186 travelers recorded in 2012.
 
The tourism authorities of Mauritius are counting on growth of about 7% of German travellers for the year 2014.
