Mauritius: More than 450,000 visitors a year at the animal park Casela

Animal Park Casela World of Adventures located in the West of Mauritius at Cascavelle has welcomed more than 450,000 visitors a year during the last year that ended June 30 on a  250 hectares land.
Mauritian visitors accounted for over 60 % of the public. The sugar group “Médine” property owner has also recently decided to invest one billion rupees (25 million euros) over the next six years to make the park a regional and international influence structure.
The park hosts in its new configuration since December 2014 for a real Mauritian land safari giraffes, eland, impala , Oryx , lions , hippos , rhinos , zebras, camels and around 70 antelopes.
Animal Park Casela World of Adventures was opened in 1979 on 14 hectares land.
