Mauritius: More than 4,100 new cars sold in seven months on the island

614 sales of vehicles in majority of Japanese brand imported in second hand after having been repackaged in bulk were counted in July 2014.
Car dealers of Mauritius have registered on their side 592 sales of new cars last month.
In the first seven months of the year 2014, 4.198 new vehicles were sold, according to the Le Matinal newspaper.
Over the same period, 3,913 reconditioned cars and more expensive for purchase, about 40,000 rupees to 60,000 rupees * since henceforth come under the carbon tax, had been sold.
As a reminder, some 456.277 vehicles and two-wheelers are currently registered by the National Transport Authority services in Mauritius.
Powered two-wheelers were notably 180,785 to travel the roads of the island in 2013.
*One euro roughly equivalent to 41 rupees
