Mauritius: More than 2000 gandia torn in northern Mauritius

Several units of the police drug squad conducted late last week a major operation in the north of Mauritius on the side of Mare d'Australia. After spotting helicopter two plantations of cannabis, police seized more than 1,800 plants gandia.
More than 200 other plants have also been spotted in the area Gokhoolah, Belle-Vue and Rivière du Rempart. The drug was torn and burned.
Investigations were opened in the wake to find the owners of these illegal crops who could face up to 15 years in prison for the crime on the island.
