Mauritius: More exports than imports within the COMESA regional economic bloc

The Mauritian economy has drained, in 2013, in the wake of activities more exports than imports, and this, within the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).
This is what highlights the latest report published on regional trade by the official agency, Statistics Mauritius.
Thus, exports within COMESA amounted to 6.3 billion rupees * while at the same time imports were approximately 5.4 billion for the year 2013.
The last record of Statistics Mauritius shows specifically that Madagascar is at the top for the importation of Mauritian products in its territory with 71.3% of the volume of Mauritian exports.
Imports from Mauritius Seychelles, Kenya and Egypt, placed the first three places of the island providers participated respectively 27.1%, 25.3% and 20% of all foreign purchases for the year 2013, as shown in the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
