Mauritius: Luxury stay for a Tunisian in the island with bank cards stolen in France
A 22 years old Tunisian citizen who had landed on the island on August 16 in the company of an Egyptian friend was arrested in the middle of last week and placed in pre-trial detention after having appeared in the Mapou Court.

The young Tunisian man upon arrival in the Mauritian ground will lead a life of luxury in Mauritius. The couple landed in their prestigious hotel on the East coast of the island aboard a Porsche rented at Plaisance airport.

The Tunisian citizen does not skimp on the princely expenditures during his stay, multiplying travel around the island in a limousine and even performs aerial helicopter rides.

The couple also spends a lot in luxury stores. Suspicious before such a train of life displayed with payments paid for with several credit cards, hotel officials contact banking services for some checks.
 
 The scam is soon discovered, the Tunisian citizen fraudulently use credit cards stolen in France.
The man was arrested Wednesday afternoon by police just before the young man was at Plaisance airport.
 
His Egyptian girlfriend had already set sail and left Mauritius, as indicated in the Weed-end Dimanche newspaper.
