Mauritius: Increase of 8.5% in tourist arrivals on the island from January to April 2015

Tourist arrivals during the first four months of 2015 relative to the same calendar period of last year rose 8.5%. 381,656 tourists walked the Mauritian soil during this period against 351,697 counted in 2014.
France, the main outbound market of the island sees its passengers increased by 2.6% from January to April and 6.3% only for the month of April 2015.
British and German tourists also increased by 19.2% and 12% respectively for the first four months of the year. Chinese and Indian visitors display on their part growth of 25.9% and 21.7%.
Last April, tourists and 90,327 were to travel to Mauritius, while 88,404 travelers had were counted a year earlier, an increase of 2.2%.
