Mauritius: Heavy rains this Sunday, beneficial for reservoirs only

This Sunday heavy rains fell on different parts of the island of Mauritius after the event of the tropical cyclone Dumile.

Beneficial water fell from the sky that will be used to supply the groundwater in depth. The cities were copiously watered over 24 hours from Sunday to Monday, Quatre-Bornes (46.2 mm), Vacoas (43.6 mm) and Port-Louis (33.8 mm).

The highest rainfall reported in Domaine les Pailles with 74.8 mm of rainfall. Significant rainfall that however is lacking in the largest reservoir of Mauritius, in Mare - aux-Vacoas, that records only 0.2 mm of rain.
