Mauritius: He assaults his father-in-law with a full face helmet

A 52 years old man was brutally attacked by his son-in-law, hit by a helmet on Sunday evening at Plaine-des-Roches, located in the district of Rivière-du-Rempart, Mauritius.
The victim was found on the main street of this region.  He was bleeding from the head and spat blood.
A resident of the town who was returning from a restaurant, was the witness of this cowardly aggression and has thus informed the police of the region.
The son-in-law, 36 years old, and mason of his State, was apprehended by the Riviere du Rempart police. The suspect has confessed his act.

He told investigators that he was under the influence of alcohol as well as his father-in-law when a sharp dispute had burst between the two men on December 5.
The Mason would not have appreciated the frequent visits of another man in the house of his father-in-law where his sister-in-law has settled after her separation with her husband.
The latter has refuted the allegations made by his brother-in-law, as indicated in the Défi Quotidien newspaper.

The altercation between the father in law and son in law ended with severe blows in the head of the fifty years old man with the helmet of the alleged perpetrator. The victim thus collapsed on the ground and the son in law took his heels.

The suspect was presented under a provisional charge of murder in Court yesterday. The police objected to his application for release.
He was renewed in a police cell. The man in his fifties was admitted to the hospital and it would be in a critical state. The police investigation continues.
