Mauritius: Former president Kailash Purryag interrogated by police

Former president Kailash Purryag was interviewed Friday morning at central Barracks in Port Louis by police. After about three hours of hearing, Kailash Purryag spoke of "claims" totally "farfetched " against him.
A passage by the headquarters of the Mauritius police had been decided so that investigators can determine the exact role that the former president would play in the granting of land leased from the State to the 8445 m2 Indian astrologer Sonu Kumar Jha side of La Vigie in the region of Curepipe.
"The police put me in the presence of certain allegations that are absolutely bizarre. I have categorically rejected and now I leave it to the police to complete their investigation," said Kailash Purryag exit interrogation.
