Mauritius: First public dictation in Mauritian creole at the Caudan Waterfront

The first public dictation in Mauritian creole at the initiative of the Kreol Speaking Union will take place Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Caudan Waterfront in Port Louis.
The organisers want to promote the Mauritian creole to the general public regardless of its age and its origins, as reported by the newspaper Le Matinal.
"The dictation will enable participants to familiarise themselves more with the official spelling of the Mauritian creole. This is an exercise intended to teaching. Participants will have the opportunity to check their knowledge of the spelling of the Mauritian creole or discover its features and its wealth," said Arnaud Carpooran, president of the Kreol Speaking Union.
