Teachers of the first degree in Mauritius are angry. Schoolmasters are thus planning to strike for the back to school, on Monday, August 19.

To justify this protest movement, first degree teachers invoke an overload of work, because they would not be quite supported by vice schoolmasters, as indicated by lexpress.mu site.

"In some schools, there are up to 1,000 students. One schoolmaster assistant is not enough", says Jaganarden Sunnassee, president of the Mauritius Head Teachers Association (MHTA).

The President of the MHTA also critical too many "rules" of the Ministry of Education of Mauritius in their teaching work.

"We say no to the arrogance of the Ministry of Education. We’re fed up", criticizes Jaganarden Sunnassee.
