Mauritius: Ferry project to connect Port Louis from Pointe-aux-Sables and Baie du Tombeau

To find a sustainable solution to traffic jams which paralyze Port Louis during opening hours and office closure, the Ministry of Public Infrastructure and Transport Mauritius is currently working on a ferry project connecting in about fifteen minutes through the sea Pointe-aux-Sables and Baie du Tombeau to the Mauritian capital.
A passenger terminal would thus be built at Le Caudan Waterfront to accommodate passengers disembarking from boats to go to work especially. Jetties and boarding areas are also expected be created on the side of Pointe-aux-Sables and Baie du Tombeau with also the establishment on-site parking.
The technical aspects of the project are for the time being decrypted before and the feasibility study will also be supported by international expertise.
