Mauritius Ebola: A vacationer from South Africa suspected of having contracted the virus

A South African traveler of about forty years arrived on Sunday in Mauritius was placed in solitary confinement in a private clinic on the island.

The patient was admited with fever, diarrhea and vomiting and showed symptoms of a person infected with the virus of Ebola haemorrhagic fever.

On Monday, the patient should have been transferred to the hospital of Souillac and biological analyzes at Victoria Hospital in Candos should have been carried out, and this, after the official health services were informed.

But it is only now, Wednesday 17 December, 2014 that all emergency procedures were initiated on the island according to L'Express newspaper of Mauritius.
