Mauritius: Drop of confidence of entrepreneurs in the economy

The Chamber of Commerce and industry of Mauritius (MCCI) has made public in earlier this week, its quarterly report on the index measuring the business climate.

Thus, after a moderate confidence in late last year a rise on the part of the heads of  companies of the island around the economic conditions, the business climate synthetic indicator starts to decrease (-3.1%) and amounted to 85.3 points, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.

"If economic measures are not put in place in the next six months, it will be difficult to rectify. After lackluster growth of 3.2% in 2013, the growth rate may be equal to or lower than that of last year", says Raju Jaddoo, Secretary General of the MCCI.
