Mauritius: Demand for electricity on the network increase by 3.9% in one year

The demand of electricity of Mauritian subscribers has increased by 3.9% between 2012 and 2013 according to the latest figures provided by the national power company of Mauritius (CEB).
 
The latter thus sold on its network last year 2384 GWh against 2.294 GWh provided in 2012.
 
Faced with this increase, national electricity company of Mauritius has produced throughout these facilities around 2,885 GWh in 2013 against 2.797 GWh the previous year.
 
As a reminder, in December 2013 during the austral summer a peak power consumption were noted around the 441.1 megawatts, as reported by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
