Mauritius: Construction of solar farms on the island by an American company in the near future

The national electricity company of Mauritius (CEB) in partnership with the American firm, Synnove, is preparing to build two photovoltaic farms at Espérance in Quartier-Militaire, in the region of Moka, and Petite Retraite on the side Flacq.

The two sites will produce 4 megawatts of electricity in total.

As a reminder, the CEB intends to introduce in its network by 2015 renewable energy (solar and wind) of up to 60 megawatts, as part of the Mauritius Sustainable Project (MID).
