Mauritius: Communities have recently acquired a local center for disaster management

All communities in the island of Mauritius can from now on in case of emergency trigger locally a center for management of natural disasters (cyclone, tsunami, floods torrential) in direct liaison with police forces represented by the strength of the Special Mobile Force, meteorological station services of Vacoas and various Ministries such as Education and health.
 
These centers of the scale of local disaster management will be placed under the logistics umbrella of the national center for management of natural disasters.
 
Thus, alert and mobilisation of all exercises the relevant emergency services will be set up at regular frequency throughout the territory of Mauritius.
 
For their part, reception and accommodation centers accommodating victims in case of natural disasters has already been identified, as reported in the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
