Mauritius: China at the bedside of education sector of the island

The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Mauritius, Li Li, who presented on March 25 his credentials to the President of the Republic of Mauritius, Kailash Yage, announced that his country will continue to provide financial assistance the Mauritian education sector.

Traveling alongside the Minister of Education, Vasant Bunwaree, including the ambassador visited the primary school in Belle Mare, in the south-west of Mauritius, whose construction was funded by the Chinese Government.
 
The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Li Li also said that China would shortly make a significant donation of books to the ministry.

The Chinese government also plans to contribute materially to specific equipment and sending trainers to the specialized center for children of the Ferney Special Needs Education Resource Center and the twinning of the structure with a Chinese school.
 
The two officials have completed their joint field visit to the new site of Mahebourg MITD Training Center, located at Petit-Bel-Air where an institution environmentally oriented, integrating photovoltaic panels and yard waste will also be built with funding from the People's Republic of China, as shown in the newspaper Le Défi Quotidien
