Mauritius: Beginning of vaccination against flu this Wednesday

While the austral winter points the tip of its nose, the Ministry of health of Mauritius begins today his campaign of vaccination against influenza on the side of Vacoas-Phoenix, Goodlands, La Gaulette, Black River and Baie-du-Cap.
The vaccination campaign is scheduled to end on April 30 and is expected to affect 80,000 people on the whole of the national territory.
85,000 doses of influenza vaccine were purchased for approximately 10 million rupees * by the authorities, as indicated in the newspaper Le Matinal.
As a reminder, 6.293 flu cases had been identified by the Minister of health in hospitals on the island in one week from May 27 to June 2, 2013.
* One euro roughly equivalent to 41 rupees
