Mauritius: An upcoming cultural trail for the promotion of the historical heritage of Port-Louis

The Ministry of tourism of Mauritius has create a cultural journey for discovering historical sites of Port-Louis and its surroundings to tourists and Mauritians.
With a budget of a million rupees (24.390 euros), the cultural route of the Heritage Trail will set up an expanded signage on 94 sites and which will precisely describe the history of places for a better cultural appropriation on the part of visitors.
The authorities want to diversify the tourist offer of the island in featuring the historical heritage of the Mauritian capital until then untapped large scale.
Central market, Place d'Armes, the Jardin de la Compagnie, the traditional houses of the Chinatown district will thus be within this course, which will also take visitors to other less known places of Port-Louis, as reported in the Le Défi Quotidien newspaper.
