Mauritius: An attacker severely beaten by passersby after a purse snatching in Port Louis
A 40 year old man, already known to the police services and tried, on Sunday afternoon at a bus stop in Port Louis to steal the gold chain of a young woman was beaten by many passers-by, alerted by the cries of distress of the victim.
 
The aggressor does owe his salvation only to the early arrival on the scene of members of the police of Trou-Fanfaron.
Transported to the hospital Jeetoo the latter was then auditioned by police before being presented in immediate court appearance of the Mauritian capital.
 
The 40 year old man is also suspected of being the author of several other robberies perpetrated in recent weeks, which were all made by the same procedure.
