Mauritius: A wind farm soon under construction in the region of Mare - aux-Vacoas

A wind farm constructed on some 1,400 m2 should be built within a year on the side of Plaine-Sophie in the region of Mare - aux-Vacuous by the indo-Mauritian consortium Suzlon-Pad Green.
The shipyard which has already received the approval of the authorities will begin at the end of the month and will see the creation of 14 turbines each producing about 2.1 megawatts for a total of 29.4 megawatts of electricity.
The implantation of this wind power project is expected to cost about 2 billion rupees *, as shown in the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
