Mauritius: A three stars hotel and a commercial center for the Waterpark with investors from the United Arab Emirates?
The Waterpark of Mauritius, located in Belle-Mare in the East of the island, is in financial difficulty with a rate of attendance which has never taken off since its inauguration in 2000.

Since 2006, the accounts of the amusement park turn to red, despite several successive rescue plans.

With backdrop of debts accumulated in the order of more than 357 million rupees (EUR 8.9 million) estimated in September 2011, the direction of the Waterpark talks currently with businessmen from the Emirates to revive activity and save some 70 jobs on the site.

The land of the Park of 25 hectares should accommodate if the negotiations with prospective emiratis investors flanked by 3 stars hotel on its standard, and also the construction of a shopping center along the lines of those existing on the side of Dubai, as revealed by the newspaper L'Express of Mauritius.
