While the controversy raged on the Mauritian political scene as well as the heart of the island society, the fate of a dozen children abandoned at psychiatric hospital, because of their mental state, found a favorable outcome, under the guidance of an interdepartmental committee.

Many of them will leave on Monday the psychiatric hospital in Brown Sequard at Beau Bassin in the center of Mauritius, to be temporarily relocated within non-governmental organizations that have agreed to receive them "on humanitarian grounds ".

These children considered as difficult by the centers that had the responsibility were sent directly to a psychiatric hospital.
Forbidden to return in these centers, after their detention from the shelters involved reported not being able to fulfill their psychological state by dearth of funds for personal psychological treatment.

"We do not take these kids, we welcome them. Because we are not ... at the origin of hospitalization in BrownSequard", clarifies an official of local NGOs to the lemauricien.com site.

Non-governmental organizations will also be assisted by a grant awarded to an exceptional basis by the Mauritian authorities, to support these children abandoned in the psychiatric hospital.
