Mauritius: A simple fight turns to riot in Port-Louis

A simple fight turns to riot on Thursday evening in front of a snack at Sainte-Croix, Port-Louis, Ducray lane in the North of the island.
Two groups of people clashed violently. An individual made use of a sword in the jostle. One person was severely injured during the conflict.
Some of local people got involved in the fight, which caused a mini-riot in the port-Louis district.
Security forces were deployed in numbers to disperse the crowd of rioters and used tear gas to restore order on the spot until late in the night. The police were met by stone-throwing.
