Mauritius: A sexagenarian strangled his wife with a towel




A mother of three children was fatally strangled by his concubine, 61 years, with a towel. The tragedy took place yesterday at around 2 p.m. in St. Paul, in Mauritius. After committing his crime, the sexagenarian then went to the local police station to confess.
 
Police officers from different units, mandated at the scene of the crime, have discovered the victim's body, lying inert on the floor in her living room, with the fabric attached to her neck.
 
In his words, a lively dispute exploded within the couple following a visit that would have made his wife, 55, at a sorcerer. He have not appreciated it and in a fit of anger, he allegedly fatally strangled his wife. Security officer of his State, the husband was arrested and he will be charged under a provisional charge of murder in court.
 
The victim, housekeeper, had just returned home in early afternoon when the deadly incident occurred. Her funeral took place today.
